The Daily Mail - An Apology, this is Rare. Very Rare. Enjoy.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/article-1226448/Surrey-Police.html

It might be gypsies, it might be an easy stereotype to apologise for, but the fact they have to apologize at all gives a level of credibility to all the other stories of nonsense they print on a daily basis. This can not be a good thing. Any level of credibilty attached to the writings and musings of the Daily Mail editorial and headlines writers and frontpage bigwigs. The irony and at times downright racism and bigotry is astonishing, the complete and utter standardised issue based journalism. Filled with hatred, filled with speculations, devoid of facts.

Do I like the Daily Mail? Well I defend its right to say what it says, I defend its right to print the nonsense it prints, I defend its right to promote the agenda of its readers. I just wish they would print an apology like this after ever story. That would be a fantastic front page.

"IMMIGRATION CAUSES UNEMPLOYMENT AND SWINE FLU" with the subline of IN EVERY MIDDLE CLASS HOME.

But at the bottom of the page we get to read a disclaimer similar to the one at the top of the page.

"This story is not true, we apologise for any mistakes and are happy to set the record straight"
